Goodbye August

In time of test, family is best.  ~Burmese Proverb

Christmas 2010

Christmas Time circa 2005-2006

The last couple of weeks have been full of surprises.. and not necessarily the good kind. We have gone through our fair share of bad news that seem enough for a lifetime. We went from highest of high to lowest of low.
Engagement July 2010
A couple of weeks ago Adam's dad was diagnosed with a type of sarcoma cancer. The news were shocking and hard to digest. Thankfully we have an amazing family and friend support system to help us fight this. We have grown closer together as a family and remember to always appreciate every day together. We remain positive as the days go on and I am grateful to be a part of such an amazing family during these tough and confusing times!

Also during this month, we lost a wonderful lady, Adam's grandma Denny. Her presence was missed at the wedding and it will definitely continue to be missed. We are grateful that she no longer is in pain and most importantly now we have another angel looking out for us. We look forward to celebrating Denny's life at her upcoming memorial.

How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.  ~From the movie Annie
Matagorda Beach Trip 2008-ish?
So it comes as no surprise when I say I am ready to say goodbye to August and say hello to September! We are quite tired of the rain and ready for some sunshine (ahem figuratively speaking because literally speaking please bring on cooler weather and rain)
